Revivification
Situated within debates around human agency and generative AI, Revivification attempts to posthumously extend the artistic life of experimental composer Alvin Lucier (1931-2021). Departing earth at the age of 90, his donated biological material becomes the basis of a living system – a new kind of biological performer that continues his artistic and cellular journey.
Ars Biologica ArtXScience Residency
We are looking for artistic proposals for (1) a spatial ArtXScience artwork that goes beyond screen-based explorations and (2) public engagement formats involving the local community connected to the artwork. The final artistic outcome will be presented in the Ars Biologica Festival in spring 2028.
Microbial fuel cell world championship
MudTronics is a collaborative competition that brings together bio, tech, and art/design to explore what we can do with microbial fuel cells. Participants experiment with turning mud, wastewater and microbes into power, creating prototypes that are playful, critical, and ecologically grounded.
